You can double your donation to MABVI for free! Many employers will make an equal contribution to a charity if one of their employees donates. Thanks for checking to see if your company offers this program. any companies will also match donations made from spouses and retirees or make a matching gift for the hours you volunteer. Please use the search tool below to see if your company will match your donation and to access the forms, guidelines, and instructions that you need to submit a matching gift.

Qualified Charitable Donations

When considering your year-end charitable giving, we invite you to explore a unique opportunity that allows you to make a meaningful contribution to MAB Community Services while optimizing your tax benefits by making a gift directly from your IRA with the Qualified Charitable Distribution (QCD) provision.

To take advantage of this opportunity and make a lasting difference in the lives of those we serve, simply contact your IRA custodian and request a direct transfer to MAB Community Services. To qualify for this opportunity, you must be 70 ½ or older, your gift is transferred directly from your traditional IRA to MAB Community Services, and it does not exceed $100,000. The transfer must occur before December 31 to count for this calendar year.

Memorial Gifts

You can celebrate an important occasion or remember a friend or family member by making a gift to MAB Community Services. We will send an acknowledgment of your gift to the individual or family. Please use our online gift form or mail your check made out to MAB Community Services to:

Please include the name of the person being honored, information about the occasion or memorial, and the name and address of the person who should receive an acknowledgment of the gift.

Car Donations

Donate your car, boat, or other vehicle and receive a tax deduction while supporting MABVI’s and MAB Community Services’ programs for individuals with disabilities. We will arrange for your vehicle to be picked up and sold. MABVI will receive the proceeds of the sale, and you will be eligible for a tax deduction for the sale.

Matching Gifts
Some companies offer double or even triple donations of their employees with matching gifts.  Please check with your company and submit a matching gift application for your contribution.

You can also contribute to MAB through your local United Way or CFC campaign.

The Massachusetts Association for the Blind and Visually Impaired is proudly sponsoring season two of the web series Planes, Trains, & Canes (PTC) with Dr. Mona Minkara. PTC seeks to understand cultural perceptions about disabilities, such as blindness. This global travel series combines her passion for adventure, love for public transportation, and interest in accessibility.
